Arash Beral, Partner
Arash Beral is a partner in our firm's Los Angeles office and a member of the Litigation Department. Mr. Beral routinely counsels clients in highly sophisticated, complex legal matters and disputes, oftentimes of national and international significance. He represents clients in business disputes (including disputes among competing businesses or between business owners, i.e., partners, members, or shareholders), and commercial, intellectual property, and real estate litigation matters from inception (including emergency injunctive relief/TRO applications) through trial, appeals, and enforcement of judgments. One of Mr. Beral's primary practice areas includes state and federal trade secret litigation, on which he has authored many articles and been interviewed about in several major legal media outlets.
When representing plaintiffs, Mr. Beral has helped recover millions of dollars in settlements or judgments on behalf of his clients. When representing defendants, he has aggressively defended his clients’ rights and has secured dismissals, complete defense victories, or favorable resolutions. His most recent trial victories include a 2015 state court trial victory in which case he was the lead plaintiff's trial counsel in a real estate dispute involving property located in the highly coveted Estates at the Oaks of Calabasas, and a 2014 federal court trial victory in which case he was the lead local defense counsel in a trade secrets dispute involving claims among competing multi-national businesses (obtaining a complete defense judgment, which was upheld in 2016 by the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals).
Mr. Beral earned both his Bachelor of Arts degree and Juris Doctor degree in less than five years, graduating in the top 5% of his undergraduate class and in the top 10% of his law school class. While now a seasoned litigator, he was at the time of admission to the State Bar of California one of the youngest practicing lawyers in California.
He has been named to the Southern California Super Lawyers list for 2019 by Super Lawyers Magazine, and included in the Southern California Rising Stars list from 2012 to 2018, an honor earned by only 2.5% of attorneys under the age of 40.
